2021 – 2022
As part of the initiative: Transparency and Media Freedom – Crisis resilience in the global pandemic, “Local Voices – Global Exchange” is a project by DW Akademie, the Deutsche Welle’s center for international media development, journalism training and knowledge transfer. The project was implemented by the organizations “Local Press” (Serbia), “Media Matters for Democracy” (Pakistan) and “Leaders of Tomorrow” (Jordan) and funded by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Throughout this project, Local and citizen media companies from different regions (Jordan, Pakistan, and Serbia) collaborated with each other across international borders on learning and sharing innovative programs and economic approaches that strengthen their resilience against COVID-19 and future crises.
As part of the project’s execution process, the selected media from each country went through a mentorship process where they received guidance and mentorship on an area of development that they lacked.
