UN Hammarskjöld Journalism Fellowship

THE FELLOWSHIP

The Dag Hammarskjöld Journalism Fellowship is now accepting applications.

Fellows are invited to spend three months in New York reporting from the United Nations

ELIGIBILITY

* You are a native of a developing country in Africa, Asia, South America or the Carribean

* You are between the age of 25 and 35 years old

* You are proficient in English

* You are a full-time professional journalist (print, television, radio, internet media organization)

HOW TO APPLY

Please submit the following documents:

- fellowship application (download

in PDF, or as a
document)

- copies of your work (newspaper clippings, audio tapes, video tapes; please include English translation)

- copies of diplomas, certificates and transcripts educational institutions and journalism trainings

- recommendation letter from individual to testify your good standing in your community

- 2 recommendation letters from supervisors

- endorsement letterabout the fellowship application from the director or editor of your organization, signed

- Summary Statement (max 300 words): why you are applying an what you expect to gain

- 2 ID photographs

- copy paspport (if possible, otherwise you need to obtain one as soon as possible)
