AHEL EL HIMMEH INITIATIVE

To celebrate the 10th year anniversary of his Majesty King Abdullah II’s accession to the throne, her Majesty Queen Rania initiated a new intiative to honor young people in Jordan who truly work toward making a difference in their communities.

HOW IT WORKS

You can nominate others (not yourself!) who you think are worth to make a chance to be honored for their outstanding achievements in social change.

To make a nomination, visit the website: www.himmeh.jo, register to create an account and submit your nomination.

Or pick up your copy at any Jordanian post office.

WHO TO NOMINATE?

Nominate someone in your community who …

* brings about positive and lasting change outside of his/her normal career
* contributed voluntary-based (not out of profession)
* make an impact in the lives of many
* encourages others to participate
* has been active in his/her community for at least 18 months

You can nominate people in the field of education, health, youth leadership, women’s empowerment and empowerment of communities, art and culture, sustainable development and the development of child protection, peace and dialogue of cultures and sports.

Nominate this one individual or group of people who you think deserve to be recognized.

DEADLINE

The deadline to submit your nomination is April 10, 2009
