American Jordanian Youth Exchange Day Event

50 high school students from the United States of America and Jordan will participate in one day event exchange on the 30th of July 2009.

Youth Exchange LOT 2009

Students will have the opportunity to interact and exchange experiences and opnions, Students from both countries will enjoy the trip to Jel’ad Forest in the north of Amman.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Time Activity
9:30am Gathering at UJ mosque parking.
Dividing participants into groups, nametags and instructions.
10:00am Departure to Jel’ad, Salt.
Breakfast in the bus (sandwiches)
10:45am Arrival and Instructions
11:00am-12:30pm Fun activities (Paint Ball, Horseback riding, Darts, sports….)
12:30-3:00pm Lunch preparation, eating and cleaning
3:00-4:00pm Volunteer work (Cleaning the forest of Jel’ad or any other suggested ideas)
4:00-7:00pm Short introduction on LOT

Social leadership games.

Open discussion on social interactions, cultural differences and diversity.

Small workshop on how to be better advocates (Methods & tools..eg.LOT blog)

7:00pm Departure to Amman

2008 US-Jordan Cultural Exchange

In 2008,  Leaders of Tomorrow organized an exchange day with American high school students and young Ammani high school students. The day started in Umm Quis, afterwards visited the Jordan University of Science and Technology, and ended at the Rumana Hills resort for a delicious dinner.

9:00am Departure from Amman to Um Qais
10:30am-12:30pm Arrival at Um Qais

Sightseeing and a tour in the roman city of Um Qais

12:30-1:30pm Leaving Um Qais to JUST university

Tour in campus, and

1:30-2:30pm Lunch
2:30-4:00pm Workshop in CSDC on social interaction and diversity.
4:00pm Departure to Rumman Hills Resort
5:30pm-9:00 Arrival at Rumman Hills Resort

Free Time for social interaction and traditional dancing.
